105 – Authentic
‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah reported from his father who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Shall I not tell you about the greatest of the major sins?” They replied, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “Ascribing partners to Allah, and showing disrespect to one’s parents.”
He added: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then sat up—he had been reclining—and said, “And false testimony, or speaking falsehood.” ⦗74⦘
