(Authentic) The Negus sent the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—a pair of plain black leather socks; he put them on, then performed ablution and wiped over them.

(أن النجاشي أهدى النبي ﷺ خُفَّيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ سَاذَجَيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا)
