The seventh: Abū Bakrah al-Thaqafī, who reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“The Dajjāl is blind in his left eye. Between his eyes is written ‘disbeliever,’ which both the illiterate and the literate can read.”
It was recorded by Ahmad (5/38).
I say: Its chain of transmission is authentic. Al-Haythamī (7/337) said:
“Its narrators are trustworthy.”
The eighth: Safīnah, whose hadith will appear below (p. 73).
The ninth: Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, whose hadith will also appear below (pp. 71–73).
The tenth: Asmāʾ bint Yazīd al-Ansāriyyah, whose hadith will appear below (pp. 75–76).
12 – This passage, too, has been mass-transmitted from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. It occurs in the hadiths of most of the Companions whose reports I have just mentioned.
13 – This passage has been reported by a number of Companions:
The first: Hudhayfah ibn al-Yamān, who reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“The Dajjāl is blind in his left eye and has thick, bushy hair. With him are a paradise and a fire, but his fire is a paradise and his paradise is a fire.”
One version adds:
“Whoever enters his river will lose his reward and incur the burden of sin; whoever enters his fire will be assured of his reward and have his burden of sin removed.”
It was recorded by Muslim (8/195), Ibn Mājah (2/506), and Ahmad (5/397).
