It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2/213), al-Ājurrī in al-Sharīʿah (p. 375), Abū Nuʿaym in al-Hilyah (5/157 and 221; 9/235), and Ibn Mandah in al-Tawhīd (83/1).
I say: Its chain of transmission is good, and all its narrators are reliable. Al-Haythamī said (7/348):
“It was narrated by al-Bazzār, but its chain includes Baqiyyah, who concealed intermediaries in transmission.”
I say: He explicitly affirmed direct transmission in all three of Abū Nuʿaym’s narrations cited above, as well as in Ibn Mandah’s and Abū Dāwūd’s. However, Abū Dāwūd’s narration does not contain the wording pertinent here, namely:
“And you will not see your Lord until you die.”
10 – This passage is mass-transmitted from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. It has been reported by a number of Companions. I have already documented the sources of most of their hadiths, so I shall merely indicate where they may be found:

The third: ʿĀʾishah (pp. 59 and 61).
The fourth: Umm Salamah (p. 60).
The fifth: Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqās (p. 62).
The sixth: Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (p. 64).
The seventh: Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh (p. 64).
