is not one-eyed. He will emerge in the Jewish quarter of Isfahan, then come to Medina and encamp on its outskirts. At that time, it will have seven gates, with two angels at each entrance. The wicked among its inhabitants will go out to him. He will then reach the gate of Ludd in Palestine, where Jesus, peace be upon him, will descend and kill him. Jesus, peace be upon him, will then remain on earth for forty years as a just leader and an equitable judge.”

Ibn Hibbān (1905), Ahmad (6/ 75), his son in al-Sunnah (p. 136), Ibn Mandah (97/ 2), and al-Dānī (142/ 2) recorded it from Yahyā ibn Abī Kathīr, who said: “Al-Khasramī ibn Lāhiq narrated to me that Dhakwān Abū Sālih informed him that ʿĀʾishah had informed him,” and he related the report.

I say: This is an authentic chain of transmission. Al-Haythamī said (7/ 338):
“Its narrators are among the narrators of al-Sahīh, except for al-Khasramī ibn Lāhiq, who is trustworthy.”

Fourth: Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
One night I thought of the Dajjāl, the false messiah, and could not sleep. In the morning, I went to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and told him. He said:
“Do not do that. If he emerges while I am alive, Allah will deal with him on your behalf through me. If he emerges after I die, Allah will deal with him on your behalf through the righteous.”

Then he said:
“Every prophet has warned his people against the Dajjāl, and I too warn you against him: he is one-eyed, whereas Allah is not one-eyed. He travels about the earth, but the earth and the heavens belong to Allah. Indeed, the false messiah’s right eye is like a protruding grape.”
