11 – p. (154): “Hishām, from Dastawāʾī”!
The correct reading is: “Hishām al-Dastawāʾī.”
12 – p. (180): “Abū Ishāq”!
The correct reading is: “Ibn Ishāq.”
13 – p. (202): “Migration is of no avail as long as the enemy continues to fight.”
The correct wording is: “Migration will not cease …”
Just consider how, through his utter ignorance and arrogance, he has reversed and corrupted the meaning of the hadith!
14 – p. (214): “… Ibn Qawtab.”
No such narrator exists. The name is actually “Ibn Quwayd,” as recorded in al-Musnad (2/442) and elsewhere.
15 – One of the most astonishing textual corruptions I have seen him produce is his turning a fabricated report that he misread into a hadith that does not exist—not even among fabricated reports. Thus, in (2/58), he writes:
“In the hadith: ‘Season your food with remembrance of Him and with prayer, and do not eat it all up, lest your hearts grow hard.’”
He comments:
“Qamma al-khiwān means that he ate all the food on the table, leaving nothing behind; adama khubzahu means that he mixed his bread with something to make it palatable. The Messenger, peace be upon him, advises his followers to make remembrance of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, the seasoning for their food …”
And so on with his eloquent discourse!
