40 - This passage is not mentioned in those authentic hadiths. It is established only in the previously cited hadith of Abū Hurayrah (p. 110), with the wording:
“The Hour will not come until time passes more quickly … and an hour lasts only as long as a palm frond takes to burn.”
Thus, it contains no mention of the Dajjāl, as noted earlier.
41 - I have found no corroborating report for it whatsoever.
42 - I have found no source for it in this form, which mentions the short days. The reliably transmitted wording is what was cited earlier in the reports of al-Nawwās and Nufayr, the father of Jubayr:
“We said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, on that day which is like a year, will the prayers of one day suffice us?’ He replied, ‘No. Estimate the prayer times for that day.’”
43 - This passage appears in its entirety in the previously cited hadith of Abū Hurayrah, transmitted through numerous chains (pp. 96–103).
44 - It is corroborated by a report narrated by Tāwūs, who said:
“Jesus son of Mary will descend as a rightly guiding leader, equitable and just. When he descends, he will break the cross, kill the swine, and abolish the jizyah tax. There will be one religion, and safety will prevail on earth, so that a lion will be among the cattle and you will think it is their bull, and a wolf will be among the sheep and you will think it is their dog. The venom of every venomous creature will be removed, so that a man will place his hand on a snake’s head and it will not harm him. A girl will even send a lion fleeing as one would a little puppy. An Arabian horse will be valued at twenty dirhams, and an ox at such-and-such an amount, and the earth will return
