Al-IstiqamaIbn Taimiya

And He, the Most High, said in describing this Prophet:

“He commands them to do what is right and forbids them from what is wrong, makes lawful for them what is good and forbids them what is impure, and relieves them of their burden and the shackles that were upon them.”
Surah al-Aʿrāf, 157

He explained this general statement in detail, saying when He made fasting obligatory:

“Whoever is ill or on a journey must fast an equal number of other days. Allah intends ease for you and does not intend hardship for you.”
Surah al-Baqarah, 185

And He said when mentioning dry ablution:

“Allah does not intend to place any hardship upon you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favour upon you.”
Surah al-Māʾidah, 6
