And he said: “Do not mutilate, act treacherously, or kill a child.” These are among his commands to uphold justice and refrain from aggression in jihad, in obedience to Allah’s words:
“Do not let hatred of a people lead you to be unjust. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.”
Surah al-Mā’idah, 8
And His words:
“Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not love transgressors.”
Surah al-Baqarah, 190
He forbade wearing silk and gold rings, drinking from gold and silver vessels, letting garments hang long, and other forms of extravagance and arrogance in the enjoyment of blessings. He condemned those who treat wine, silk, and musical instruments as lawful
وَقَالَ لَا تمثلوا وَلَا تغدروا وَلَا تقتلُوا وليدا الى غير ذَلِك مِمَّا امْر بِهِ فِي الْجِهَاد من الْعدْل وَترك الْعدوان اتبَاعا لقَوْله تَعَالَى
{وَلَا يجرمنكم شنآن قوم على أَلا تعدلوا اعدلوا هُوَ أقرب للتقوى}
سُورَة الْمَائِدَة ٨ وَلقَوْله تَعَالَى
{وقاتلوا فِي سَبِيل الله الَّذين يقاتلونكم وَلَا تَعْتَدوا إِن الله لَا يحب الْمُعْتَدِينَ}
سُورَة الْبَقَرَة ١٩٠
وَنهى عَن لِبَاس الْحَرِير وتختم الذَّهَب وَالشرب فِي آنِية الذَّهَب وَالْفِضَّة واطالة الثِّيَاب الى غير ذَلِك من انواع السَّرف وَالْخُيَلَاء فِي النعم وذم الَّذين يسْتَحلُّونَ الْخمر وَالْحَرِير وَالْمَعَازِف
