such as His saying, Most High:
“Say, ‘Are those who know equal to those who do not know?’” (Surah al-Zumar 39:9)
And He says:
“Nor are the living equal to the dead.” (Surah Fātir 35:22)
And He, Most High, says:
“They were unable to hear, nor could they see. Those are the ones who have lost their own souls, and whatever they used to fabricate has deserted them”—up to His saying:
“The example of the two groups is like the blind and deaf compared with the seeing and hearing. Are they equal in comparison? Will you not then take heed?” (Surah Hūd 11:24)
And He says:
“We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, eyes with which they do not see, and ears with which they do not hear. They are like livestock; rather, they are further astray. It is they who are heedless.” (Surah al-Aʿrāf 7:179)
And He says:
“Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are only like livestock; rather, they are further astray from the path.” (Surah al-Furqān 25:44)
And He says:
“Allah bears witness that there is no deity except Him, as do the angels and those endowed with knowledge.” (Surah Āl ʿImrān 3:18)
And He says:
“So that you may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah encompasses all things in knowledge.” (Surah al-Talāq 65:12)
And He says:
“So know that there is no deity except Allah.” (Surah Muhammad 47:19)
And He says:
“And say, ‘My Lord, increase me in knowledge.’” (Surah Tā Hā 20:114)
