And He said of Abraham, peace be upon him:
“Have you considered what you have been worshipping—you and your forefathers? They are enemies to me, except the Lord of all worlds.” (Surah al-Shuʿarāʾ, 77)
Allah Most High also says:
“And when Abraham said to his father and his people, ‘I disassociate myself from whatever you worship, except the One who created me, for He will surely guide me.’” (Surah al-Zukhruf, 2627)

He also says:
“Do not take as allies those who make your religion an object of mockery and amusement, from among those who were given the Scripture before you, nor the disbelievers.” (Surah al-Māʾidah, 57)
And He says:
“Do not take as allies a people with whom Allah is angry.” (Surah al-Mumtahanah, 13)
