He also says:

“Those were the prophets whom Allah blessed, from the descendants of Adam, and of those We carried with Noah, and from the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and from those We guided and chose. Whenever the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell down in prostration and weeping.”
[Surah Maryam 58]

Allah Most High says:

“Those who listen to what is said and follow the best of it.”
[Surah al-Zumar 18]

He also says:

“And those who, when reminded of their Lord’s verses, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.”
[Surah al-Furqān 73]

Allah Most High says:

“Those who disbelieve say, ‘Do not listen to this Quran, and make noise during its recitation so that you may prevail.’”
[Surah Fussilat 26]

Allah Most High says:

“And the Messenger says, ‘My Lord, my people have indeed abandoned this Quran.’”
[Surah al-Furqān 30]

Allah Most High says:

“Indeed, the worst of living creatures in Allah’s sight are the deaf and dumb who do not understand. Had Allah known any good in them, He would have made them hear. But even if He had made them hear, they would have turned away in aversion.”
[Surah al-Anfāl 23]

He also says:

“What is the matter with them that they turn away from the reminder, like startled wild donkeys fleeing from a lion?”
[Surah al-Muddaththir 49 51]

He also says in the verse:

“When you recite the Quran, We place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter a hidden barrier.”
[Surah al-Isrā’ 54]
