and began to say:
‘We are those who pledged allegiance to Muhammad,
to wage jihad for as long as we live.’

‘O Allah, there is no life but the life of the Hereafter;
so honor the Ansār and the Muhājirūn.’”

First, listening to delightful melodies and tunes is permissible, provided that the listener entertains nothing forbidden, listens to nothing condemned by Islamic law, and does not thereby follow his own desires.

Second, whatever instills in the listener a desire to perform acts of obedience and to guard against
