The second is a similar but abridged report from Ā’ishah. Ahmad narrated it (56/2), and its chain is sound. It also appears with the same meaning in the two Sahīhs.
The third is from Ibn Abbās, who said: “The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—shunned his wives for one month. When twenty-nine days had passed, Gabriel came to him and said, ‘Your oath has been fulfilled, and the month is complete.’” Its chain is authentic according to Muslim’s criterion. Ahmad also narrated it (1/235) through Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Imrān, from him. This Imrān was Ibn al-Hārith al-Sulamī, Abū al-Hakam al-Kūfī.
The fourth is from Abū Hurayrah, who said: “The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—shunned his wives”—Shuʿbah said, “and I believe he said, ‘for one month’...” The hadith continues. Ahmad narrated it (2/298) with a chain that is acceptable for corroboration.
There is another hadith concerning his shunning—peace and blessings be upon him—of one of his wives. Ā’ishah—may Allah be pleased with her—reported: “A camel belonging to Safiyyah bint Huyayy fell ill, while Zaynab had a spare mount. The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said to Zaynab, ‘Give her a camel.’ She replied, ‘Am I to give one to that Jewish woman?’ The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—became angry and shunned her throughout Dhū al-Hijjah, Muharram, and part of Safar.”
Abū Dāwūd (4602) and Ahmad (6/131–132, 261, 338) narrated it through Sumayyah, from Ā’ishah. This Sumayyah is unknown. Al-Dhahabī said: “Thābit al-Bunānī was the only person to narrate from her.”
