- Abu Masʿud al-Badri reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“A man’s prayer is not accepted until he straightens his back in both bowing and prostration.”
Reported by Abu Dawud, al-Nasaʾi, al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, al-Darimi, al-Tahawi, al-Tayalisi, Ahmad, and al-Daraqutni, who remarked, “Its chain is firmly authentic”—and indeed it is as he said. Al-Aʿmash explicitly declared “I heard” in the version preserved by al-Tayalisi.

- Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“The worst thief among people is the one who steals from his own prayer.”
They asked, “Messenger of Allah, how does he steal from his prayer?” He replied, “By failing to complete its bowing and prostration.”
Recorded by al-Hakim, who graded it authentic, and al-Dhahabi agreed. It has supporting chains: one from Abu Qatadah cited by al-Hakim, another from al-Nuʿman ibn Murrah transmitted by Malik with a sound mursal chain, and a third from Abu Saʿid related by al-Tayalisi, which al-Suyuti declared authentic in Tanwir al-Hawalik. ⦗117⦘
