the tree—yet His decree that he would eat from it had already taken effect. Then He tried him with the very thing He had prohibited, loosed his enemy upon him so that he lured him to it, and made his eating from it the cause of his descent to the earth. Thus Adam found no way to abstain from it, nor any escape from the outcome.

Paradise and Hellfire

5 – Thereafter He created, from Adam’s progeny, a people destined for the Garden; by His will they perform the deeds of its inhabitants, and through His power and desire they carry them out. And He created, from that same progeny, a people destined for the Fire; He gave them eyes that do not see, ears that do not hear, and hearts that do not grasp the truth. By that they are screened from guidance, and—according to His prior decree—they practice the deeds of the people of Hell.

Faith

6 – Faith is word and deed together with conviction in the heart: a declaration with the tongue and action.
