Here ends the epistle. All praise belongs to Allah alone, and may His blessings and peace be upon Muhammad and his family. The entire text was heard verbatim from the shaykh and imām Abū ʿAbd Allah Yaḥyā ibn Abī ʿAlī al-Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn al-Bannā, who related it from his father, the refined shaykh and imām Abū al-Muẓaffar ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad al-Hamdānī. Concerning it he declared: “I hold fast to it and profess it as my creed.”
