Paying the ṣadaqāt (obligatory alms) to them is permissible and legally binding; whoever hands it over to them has discharged his duty, whether the ruler is righteous or sinful.

The Friday prayer offered behind him, or behind anyone he appoints, is lawful, continuously valid, and complete as two rakʿahs; whoever repeats it has embraced innovation.
١٨ - وَدفع الصَّدقَات إِلَيْهِم جَائِزَة نَافِذَة من دَفعهَا إِلَيْهِم أَجْزَأت عَنهُ برا كَانَ أَو فَاجِرًا
١٩ - وَصَلَاة الْجُمُعَة خَلفه وَخلف من ولاه جَائِزَة بَاقِيَة تَامَّة رَكْعَتَيْنِ من أعادهما فَهُوَ مُبْتَدع
