- (35) Chapter: Affirming That Allah, Mighty and Majestic, Speaks
35 – ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Muʿaddal informed us; Ibn Hamdawayh narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Rahmān al-Shāmī narrated to us; Abū al-Salt informed us; Ziyād ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Bakkārī narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Ishāq narrated to us, from his father, that Abū Bakr al-Siddīq, may Allah be pleased with him, said upon the death of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace:
“We have lost revelation and speech from Allah, Mighty and Majestic.”
- (٣٥) بَابُ إِثْبَاتِ الْكَلَامِ لِلَّهِ ﷿
٣٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُعَدَّلُ ثَنَا ابْنُ حَمْدَوَيْهِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الشَّامِيُّ أَنَا أَبُو الصَّلْت ثَنَا زِيَاد ابْن عبد الله البكاري ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ ﵁ قَالَ عِنْد وَفَاةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَدْنَا الْوَحْيَ وَمَنْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ﷿ الْكَلَامَ
