- (34) Chapter: Their Seeing Him, Mighty and Majestic, in Paradise
34 – Al-Hākim Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Azdī narrated to us; Abū Ishāq (al-Qarrāb) informed us; Abū Yaʿlā informed us; (Hawtharah ibn) narrated to us; Hammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thābit al-Bunānī, from ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn Abī Laylā, from Suhayb, may Allah be pleased with him, who reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, explained the words of Allah, Mighty and Majestic:
“For those who do good is the best reward—and more.”
He said: “The best reward is Paradise, and ‘more’ is looking upon the Face of Allah, Mighty and Majestic.”

٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَاكِمُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَزْدِيُّ أَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ (الْقَرَّابُ) أَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَي ثَنَا (حَوْثَرَةُ بن) ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ ﵁ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷿ ﴿لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحسنى وَزِيَادَة﴾ ) قَالَ الْحسنى الْجَنَّةُ وَالزِّيَادَةُ النَّظَرُ إِلَى وَجْهِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ
