Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid, who said: Qays ibn Abī Hāzim narrated to me, from Jarīr ibn ʿAbd Allāh, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:

“I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, undertaking to establish prayer, pay zakat, and show sincere goodwill toward every Muslim.”
