and ʿAlī ibn Muhammad al-Fārisī informed us: ʿAlī ibn ʿĪsā informed us: al-Hasan ibn Saʿīd informed us: Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us: Sharīk narrated to us, from Abū Hārūn—whose name was ʿUmārah ibn Juwayn al-ʿAbdī, of Basra—from Abū Saʿīd (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:

“Adam and Moses (peace and blessings be upon them) debated with one another. Moses said to him, ‘You are the one whom Allah created with His Hand and settled in His Paradise.’”

This is the wording of the hadith of Abū Saʿīd (may Allah be pleased with him).
