Ahmad ibn Hamdān informed us: Hāmid ibn Muhammad informed us: Muhammad ibn Sālih al-Ashajj narrated to us: Dāwūd ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us. h (change of chain)

And ʿAbd al-Jabbār informed us: Ibn Mahbūb narrated to us: Abū ʿĪsā narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us, on the authority of Qatādah, who said: I heard Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“There was no prophet who did not warn his people against the one-eyed liar. Indeed, he is one-eyed, whereas your Lord (Mighty and Majestic is He) is not one-eyed. Written between his eyes are the letters kāf, fā, and rā.”

أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ أَنْبَأَ حَامِدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْأَشَجُّ ثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ح وَأَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ ثَنَا ابْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عِيسَى ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ ابْنَ مَالِكٍ ﵁ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ (مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا وَقَدْ حَذَّرَ أُمَّتَهُ الْأَعْوَرَ الْكَذَّابَ أَلَا إِنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ ﷿ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ك ف ر لَفْظُ غُنْدَرٍ)
