The Relationship between Islam and Faith
Islam is submission and wholehearted obedience to the commands of Allah, Exalted is He. Linguistically, a distinction can be drawn between Islam and faith, yet in reality there is no faith without Islam and no Islam without faith; the two stand together like a back and its belly. The term dīn (religion) applies to both faith and Islam, and indeed to all the revealed prescriptions.
علاقَة الْإِسْلَام وَالْإِيمَان
والاسلام هُوَ التَّسْلِيم والإنقياد لأوامر الله تَعَالَى فَمن طَرِيق اللُّغَة فرق بَين الْإِسْلَام وَالْإِيمَان وَلَكِن لَا يكون إِيمَان بِلَا اسلام وَلَا يُوجد إِسْلَام بِلَا إِيمَان وهما كالظهر مَعَ الْبَطن وَالدّين اسْم وَاقع على الْإِيمَان وَالْإِسْلَام والشرائع كلهَا
