The Ranking Among the Companions
The most excellent of all people after the Prophets—upon them be peace and blessings—is Abu Bakr al-Siddiq; next comes ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab, al-Faruq; then ‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan, Dhu al-Nurayn; and finally ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, al-Murtada. May Allah be pleased with them all.
المفاضلة بَين الصَّحَابَة
وَأفضل النَّاس بعد النَّبِيين عَلَيْهِم الصَّلَاة وَالسَّلَام أَبُو بكر الصّديق ثمَّ عمر بن الْخطاب الْفَارُوق ثمَّ عُثْمَان بن عَفَّان ذُو النورين ثمَّ عَليّ بن أبي طَالب المرتضى رضوَان الله عَلَيْهِم أَجْمَعِينَ
