Al-Fiqh al-AkbarAbu Hanifa

He has eternally been One who speaks, even before He ever addressed Moses (peace be upon him). Likewise, He has eternally been the Creator, though in pre-eternity no creation yet existed. So when Allah spoke to Moses, He spoke to him with His own speech—an attribute that has always belonged to Him. All His attributes are utterly unlike those of created beings: He knows, but not as we know; He is able, but not as we are able; and He sees, but not as we see.
