if we were to return to your faith after Allah has delivered us from it. It is not for us to return to it unless Allah, our Lord, so wills. Our Lord encompasses everything in knowledge. In Allah we place our trust. Our Lord, decide between us and our people with truth, for You are the best of those who decide.”
And Noah—may blessings be upon our Prophet and upon him—said, “My counsel will not benefit you, even though I desire to advise you, if Allah intends to lead you astray. He is your Lord, and to Him you will be returned.” (Q 11:34)
He, Exalted is He, also says, “She certainly desired him, and he would have desired her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. Thus We turned away from him evil and indecency; indeed, he was one of Our devoted servants.” (Q 12:24)
And He, the Exalted, says, “We surely tested Solomon and placed a body upon his throne; then he turned in repentance.” (Q 38:34)
And Allah knows best.
Here ends al-Fiqh al-Absaṭ of Abu Hanifa—may Allah have mercy on him. May Allah bless and grant peace to the one after whom there is no prophet, our master Muhammad, and to his family and all his Companions.
