the Throne of my Lord; it is as though I see the people of Paradise visiting one another there, and as though I behold the people of the Fire when they wail within it.’

The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, ‘You have spoken the truth, so hold fast! You have spoken the truth, so hold fast!’

He then declared, ‘Whoever would like to look at a man whose heart Allah has illumined, let him look at Hārithah.’

Hārithah said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah that He grant me martyrdom.’ So he supplicated for him, and Hārithah was martyred.
