At the beginning of the book I have set forth: my method of verification, a description of the manuscripts adopted in establishing the text, a substantiation of the book’s title, a brief biography of the author, and sample folios from the manuscripts.
I ask Allah to grant benefit through it and to make our labour therein purely for His Noble Countenance.
May blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his Companions.

وَجَعَلْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الكِتَابِ: مَنْهَجِي فِي التَّحْقِيقِ، وَوَصْفَ النُّسَخِ المُعْتَمَدَةِ فِي تَحْقِيقِ المَتْنِ، وَتَحْقِيقَ اسْمِ الكِتَابِ، وَتَرْجَمَةَ المُصَنِّفِ، وَنَمَاذِجَ مِنَ المَخْطُوطَاتِ.
أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ بِهِ، وَأَنْ يَجْعَلَ عَمَلَنَا فِيهِ خَالِصاً لِوَجْهِهِ الكَرِيمِ.
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِهِ، وَصَحْبِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ.
