90 – Abu Bakr ʿAbd Allah ibn [Muhammad] ibn Abi al-Dunya narrated to us. He said: Husayn ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman narrated to me. He said: al-Walid ibn Salih narrated to me, from Abu Muhammad al-Khurāsānī, from ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn Abi Rawwād, from ʿAtāʾ, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever walks with his Muslim brother to meet a need and gives him sincere counsel in the matter, Allah will set between him and the Fire on the Day of Resurrection seven trenches; the distance between one trench and the next is like that between heaven and earth.”
