78 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Khalid ibn Khidash al-Muhallabi and ʿUbayd Allah ibn ⦗67⦘ ʿUmar al-Jashmi reported to us. They said: [Hammad ibn Zayd] transmitted from Muhammad ibn Wasiʿ—[a man narrated from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah]—who said:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever relieves a Muslim of one of the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve him of a hardship from the hardships of the Hereafter. Whoever conceals his Muslim brother’s faults in this world, Allah will conceal him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah is ever in the servant’s aid so long as the servant is in his brother’s aid.”
