72 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Salm ibn Junadah told me; he said: a shaykh narrated to us, from Mujalid, from al-Shaʿbi, who said: Al-Hutayʾa and Kaʿb were with ʿUmar when al-Hutayʾa recited:

“Whoever does good will never be denied my recompense;
Kindness is never lost between Allah and people.”

Kaʿb said, “By Allah, these very words are in the Torah: ‘Kindness is never lost between Allah and His creation.’”
