69 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: Ḥusayn ibn … related to me; he said: Ḥammād ibn … recited:

“… and—how much longer—… tormented …, a friend, or … benefaction?
Life is nothing but that your bounty be long-extended,
or, failing that, the meeting with a man of lofty character.”
