41 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn … told me; he said: ʿUbayd Allah ibn … ibn ʿAmr narrated to me, from his father …, who said: “I asked al-Hakam, ‘Did the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laugh?’ He replied, ‘Yes, by Allah! Yet in their hearts were things as weighty as mountains.’”
