32 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Jaʿfar narrated to me; ʿAli ibn Mujahid narrated to me, from Saʿid ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Zubaydi, who said: “I am particularly fond of every Qur’an reciter who is easy-going, genial, and quick to smile. But the one whom you greet cheerfully while he answers with a frown, as though he were conferring a favor upon you—may Allah not multiply the likes of him among the reciters.”
