20 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Ahmad ibn ʿImran al-Akhnasi narrated to us; I heard Abu Bakr ibn ʿAyyash, from Sulayman al-Taymi, from Anas ibn Malik, who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “When the Day of Resurrection arrives, Allah Most High will assemble the people of Paradise in rows and the people of Hell ⦗32⦘ in rows. A man from the rows of Hell will look toward a man from the rows of Paradise and say, ‘So-and-so! Do you not remember the day I showed you kindness in the world?’ He will take his hand and say, ‘O Allah, this man showed me kindness in the world.’ It will then be said to him, ‘Take him by the hand and bring him into Paradise—by Allah’s mercy.’”
