Istina' al-Ma'ruf - Ibn Abi al-Dunya - (30)

19 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr, Abū Aḥmad al-Balkhī, narrated to me; ʿAbd Allah ibn Manṣūr al-Ḥarrānī narrated to me, from ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Aṣfahānī, from ʿAṭāʾ, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ⦗31⦘

“The people of kindness in this world will be the people of kindness in the Hereafter.”

Someone asked, “How so?” He answered, “When the Day of Resurrection arrives, Allah will gather the people of kindness and say, ‘I have forgiven you whatever you may have done, and, on account of your good deeds, I have reconciled My servants with you. So bestow that kindness today upon whomever you wish, so that you will be the people of kindness both in this world and in the Hereafter.’”

١٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عبد الله قال حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْبَلْخِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَصْفَهَانِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ⦗٣١⦘ أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ قِيلَ وَكَيْفَ ذَاكَ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ جَمَعَ اللَّهُ أَهْلَ الْمَعْرُوفِ فَقَالَ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَكُمْ مَا كَانَ مِنْكُمْ وَصَانَعْتُ عَلَى الْمَعْرُوفِ عَنْكُمْ عِبَادِي فَهَبُوهَا الْيَوْمَ لِمَنْ شِئْتُمْ لِتَكُونُوا أَهْلَ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَأَهْلَ المعروف في الآخرة.
