144 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Abu Zakariyya al-Khathʿami recited to me:

He emerged, once he had grown affluent, among his brothers,
and dulled for them the keen blade of want.

Cautious foresight made him fear the twists of time,
so he hastened to kindness before remorse.
