If corroborating and supporting narrations are found for reports of this category, they are elevated from the level of rejection to that of acceptance—and even preference. The same ruling applies to the ḥadiths transmitted by a mastūr (an obscure narrator of unknown standing), by a mudallis, and to mursal reports.
