Al-Sakhawī stated that al-Ṭabarānī has a work entitled Tahdhīb al-Āthār, though it is limited to marfūʿ reports—those traced back to the Prophet ﷺ—and any mawqūf material it contains, reports that halt with a Companion, is included only incidentally and as an ancillary addition.
