Hence, to deny the prophethood of the Seal of His prophets and messengers and to belie him is in reality (1) a denial of the Lord—exalted be He—and a repudiation of Him. One simply cannot affirm His lordship, His divinity, His dominion, or even His very existence while rejecting Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ﷺ.
We have already pointed this out in the preceding debate: disbelief in the Messenger of Allah ﷺ can never coexist with genuine acknowledgement of the Lord—Most High—or of His attributes, just as disbelief (2) in resurrection and the Last Day (3) can never be reconciled with affirming the very existence of the Maker.
He—glorified be He—has stated this in two places of His Book (4). The first is in Sūrah al-Raʿd: “And if you are astonished, astonishing indeed is their saying, ‘When we have become dust, shall we truly be created anew?’ Such are the ones who have disbelieved in their Lord” (13:5).
The second is in Sūrah al-Kahf: “He entered his garden while wronging himself and said, ‘I do not think that this will ever perish, (35) and I do not think the Hour will come; yet even if I am returned to my Lord, I will surely find something better than this as a place of return.’ (36) His companion said to him, while conversing with him, ‘Do you disbelieve in the One who created you from dust, then from a drop of fluid, then fashioned you into a man? (37) As for me, He is Allah, my Lord, and I will never associate anyone with my Lord.’” (18:35–38).
Thus the Messenger—may Allah’s blessings be upon him—came only to acquaint people with the Lord—exalted is He—
