with any harm; rather, God raised him to Himself, lodged him in His heaven, and He will return him to earth so that, through him, He may exact vengeance upon the Antichrist and his followers. Then he will break the cross, slay the swine, exalt Islam, and grant victory—through him—to the religion of his brother and the one most closely related to him, Muḥammad son of ʿAbd Allāh—may the finest blessings and peace rest upon them both.
If this pronouncement about the Messiah were placed on one side of the scale and the pronouncement of the tritheist cross-worshippers on the other, anyone possessed of the slightest glimmer of reason would perceive the vast disparity between them—indeed, a disparity as great as that separating it from the statement of those who incurred wrath regarding him. And with God lies all success.
Were it not for Muḥammad ﷺ, we would never have known that the Messiah, son of Mary—God’s messenger, servant, word, and spirit—exists at all; for the “messiah” affirmed by the Jews, the vilest of God’s creatures, is certainly not the Messiah of guidance.
As for the messiah affirmed by the Christians, he is pure fabrication, the most groundless of falsehoods. His existence is impossible to both reason and innate nature; it is inconceivable that he could ever come into being—an impossibility greater than every impossibility. If his existence (1) were conceivable, all rational proofs would collapse and no one could any longer trust his intellect, for the impossibility of his existence surpasses that of every other impossibility. Were what they claim (2) true, the entire cosmos would be nullified: the heavens and the earth would vanish, the angels, the Throne, and the Footstool would cease to exist, and there would be no resurrection, no return, no Garden, and no Fire.
Nor should one be surprised that this community of misguidance—whom God has testified to be more astray than cattle—has unanimously agreed on such a belief, for every falsehood that exists in creation is ascribed to some nation, which then agrees upon it. We have already mentioned the unanimity of the great nations—whose numbers none can count—
