the Messiah, they disbelieved in him at the very moment of his mission, and they have continued to wait for the day when the lion will eat straw, thinking that only then will the sign of the Messiah’s advent be established.
They believe that when this awaited one finally appears, he will gather them all together in Jerusalem, bestow sovereignty upon them, empty the world of everyone else, and that death itself will be kept at bay from their inviolable stronghold for a long period.
Instead of believing in the Messiah, son of Mary, they have chosen to await the Messiah of delusion—the Antichrist, al-Dajjal. He is the one they are truly expecting; they will be his army and the people most devoted to him. In his era they will enjoy power and dominion until the Messiah of guidance, the son of Mary, descends, kills the one they were waiting for, and he and his companions set the sword upon them so that a Jew will hide behind a rock or a tree and it will say, “Muslim, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him.” (1)
Once the earth has been cleansed of them and of the worshippers of the cross, only then will the wolf and the ram graze together and lie down side by side (2), the cow and the wolf pasture together, the lion will eat straw, and security will pervade the land (3).
