Had he never declared, “I am a Messenger who has been sent,” the very witness stamped upon his face would still speak for him (1).
And who is the one before whom death itself advanced, while birds of prey accompanied his armies, aware that the slaughter of the disbelievers for the sake of Allah, the One, the All-Compelling, was imminent?
They circled around him, bearing as their offering the blood of the unbelievers they had seized (2).
And who is the one at whose approach mountains quaked and hills were humbled; who trampled nations, brought the world into submission, toppled kingdoms by the mere fact of his prophethood, and delivered humanity from polytheism, unbelief, ignorance, and oppression—who, if not he?
(Twenty-Sixth Proof): Ezekiel’s words, in which he threatens the Jews and describes to them the nation of Muhammad ﷺ:
“Allah will make them prevail over you, will raise up among them a Prophet, will send down to him a Book, and will place your necks under their control so they will vanquish you and humble you with justice. Men of the children of Kedar will march forth among the throngs of nations; with them are angels on white steeds, armed, striking you down, and your final end will be the Fire.” (3)
So who is the one whom Allah made triumphant over the Jews until he subdued, humiliated, and punished them, and upon whom He sent down a Scripture? Who are the children of Kedar if not the descendants of Ishmael who set out with him, accompanied by the multitudes of nations? And upon whom did the angels descend—upon him and upon his community
