Hidāyat al-ḤayārāIbn al-Qayyim

Twenty-Fourth Proof. Isaiah says in his book: “I praise my beloved and my son Ahmad.” For this reason he is mentioned in the prophecy of Isaiah more than in any other prophetic book. Isaiah publicized his name, described him and the community that would follow him, and proclaimed it both privately and openly because he knew the Prophet’s worth and rank with Allah.
Isaiah also said: “We have heard from the ends of the earth the voice of Muhammad.”
This is a plain statement of his very name, ﷺ. So let the People of the Book show us another prophet—apart from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ—whose name, qualities, description, conduct, and the characteristics and circumstances of his nation were all explicitly stated by earlier prophets!

Twenty-Fifth Proof. Habakkuk says in his book: “Indeed, Allah came from Yemen (1), the Holy One from the mountains of Paran. The heavens were illumined by the splendor of Muhammad, and the earth was filled with his praise. His appearance spread like light; he surrounded his land with might. Death advanced before him, and the birds of prey accompanied his armies. He rose and surveyed (2) the earth, so the primeval mountains crumbled before him and the hills were humbled; the walls of Midian (3) shook, and he achieved the ancient aspirations.”
He then said: “Your rebuke is in the rivers and the clash of Your voice is in the seas. You rode the steeds and mounted the chariots of the devout. You will draw well-fitted arrows in Your bows, and at Your command, O Muhammad, the shafts will drink their fill. The mountains saw You and were terrified, and they turned aside—"

(1) Al-Jawab al-Sahih records the form al-Taymin, and the same reading occurs in Ibn Qutaybah’s Alam Rasul Allah. The Illustrated Bible Dictionary, p. 228, explains: “Teman: a Hebrew name meaning ‘right-hand (i.e. southern) side’; also the name of a tribe … Teiman: the southern desert.” (2) Manuscript G has: “fa-mashaḥ” (“and he wiped”). (3) Manuscript G has: “sur madaʾin” (“city walls”).
