—in the knowledge of Allah, His names and attributes, His judgments, His actions, His determinations and His pre-ordainment—if not he?!
And who is the arkūn al-ʿālam (the sovereign of the world) who was to come after the Messiah—if not he?! “Arkūn al-ʿālam” means the great one, the chief of the world. Reflect on the Messiah’s own words in this prophecy, which they themselves do not deny: “The arkūn al-ʿālam will come, and the matter will no longer be mine.” How plainly this attests to the prophethood of both the Messiah and Muhammad alike, for when he came the authority became his alone, not the Messiah’s. Consequently, it became incumbent upon all people to obey him and submit to his command, and in reality the affair passed entirely to him.
Nothing now remains in the Christians’ hands but a religion whose falsehood outweighs its truth many times over, and even that kernel of truth has been abrogated by what Allah sent with Muhammad ﷺ.
Thus the Messiah’s statement matches that of his brother Muhammad ﷺ: “The son of Mary will descend among you as a just judge and an equitable leader, and he will rule according to the Book of your Lord” (1); and in another wording: “and he will lead you (2) by the Book of your Lord.”
Accordingly (3) the words of these two noble Messengers are in perfect concord: the first heralded the second, and the second confirmed the first.
Now consider his words in another prophecy: “Have you not seen the stone that the builders rejected? It has become the cornerstone.” How perfectly this corresponds to the Prophet’s ﷺ saying: “My likeness—”
