as the Most High said: “Nor does he speak from [his own] desire. It is nothing but a revelation sent down.” ⦗An-Najm 53:3-4⦘—that is, his every utterance is divinely revealed.
This corresponds to Christ’s statement that he does not speak of his own accord, but only what is revealed to him. Allah, exalted be He, commanded him to convey what had been sent down to him and guaranteed his protection in delivering His messages. Consequently, he guided people to the whole of truth and imparted to them matters that other prophets could not convey for fear that their peoples would kill them. Christ had already stated that he had not disclosed everything he knew because they could not bear it, and they acknowledge that he was afraid of them whenever he spoke of realities.
As for Muhammad ﷺ, Allah—glorified be He—supported him with a support granted to no one else: He protected him from the people so that he did not fear anything he might say, bestowed upon him an eloquence and knowledge given to none besides him, and strengthened his community so that they were able to carry what he entrusted to them. Thus they were not like the People of the Torah, who were charged with the Torah yet failed to bear it, nor like the People of the Gospel, to whom Christ said, “I still have many things to tell you, but you cannot bear them now.”
There is no doubt that the nation of Muhammad ﷺ possesses sounder intellects, greater faith, and fuller affirmation and striving; hence their knowledge, inward deeds, and faith are superior, even if the bodily acts of worship of other communities are more extensive.
Furthermore, he foretold concerning the Paraclete that he (3) would testify to him and that he would teach them everything
