Tafsir al-SadiAbd al-Rahman al-Sadi’

(13) “And [He has subjected] whatever He has created for you on earth, in its varied colors. Surely in this is a sign for people who take heed.”

That is, in all that Allah has created and spread throughout the earth for His servants—animals, trees, plants, and other things whose colors and benefits vary—there is a sign of Allah’s perfect power, all-encompassing kindness, and boundless goodness, and that He alone, without partner, is worthy of worship. “For people who take heed”—that is, those who call to mind the beneficial knowledge that profits them and reflect upon what Allah has called them to contemplate, until it reminds them of that to which it points.
