(35) “The description of Paradise promised to the God-fearing is that rivers flow beneath it; its fruit is everlasting, as is its shade. That is the ultimate end of those who fear Allah, while the ultimate end of the disbelievers is the Fire.”

Allah Most High says: “The description of Paradise promised to the God-fearing”—those who have forsaken what Allah forbade them and have not fallen short in carrying out what He commanded—is that its true nature and characteristics are as follows: “Rivers flow beneath it”: rivers of honey, wine, milk, and water, flowing without channels. They irrigate those gardens and trees, which then bear every kind of fruit.

“Its fruit is everlasting, as is its shade”—its shade is everlasting as well. “That is the ultimate end of those who fear Allah,” meaning their final outcome and destination to which they will come, “while the ultimate end of the disbelievers is the Fire.” How vast and manifest is the difference between the two groups!
