(92) “Today We shall preserve your body, so that you may be a sign to those who come after you.”
The commentators said: Because of the immense fear of Pharaoh that remained in the hearts of the Children of Israel, it was as though they could not believe that he had drowned and harbored doubts about it. Allah therefore commanded the sea to cast his body onto elevated ground, so that he might be a lesson and a sign for them.
“Yet many people are heedless of Our signs.” ⦗373⦘ Thus, the signs pass before them time and again, but they derive no benefit from them because they pay them no heed.
As for one endowed with reason and an attentive heart, he sees among Allah’s signs the clearest proof of the truth of what the messengers proclaimed.
